In Ukraine, the majority of small- and medium-size farmers do not have access to services that comprehensively analyze their soil. Without soil analysis, these farmers are unable to make informed decisions about fertilization and crop selection. To address this problem, Agrobonus is expanding its services to include soil, plant, and water analysis. Aimed at improving incomes and productivity, the new services will be provided through a central laboratory near Kyiv and 16 mobile laboratories. Analysis conducted in these laboratories will allow Agrobonus to provide input and management recommendations to clients.

Outcome: At least 1,435 small- and medium-size farmers will receive fertilization and field management consultations, resulting in a 30 percent increase in income due to input cost reductions and crop yield increases.
